Lustrumfeest 2026
Volgend bestaat Unquendor 45 jaar, wat we hopen te vieren met ons negende Lustrumfeest. Dit feestelijke evenement zal plaatsvinden van vrijdag 19-zondag 21 juni 2026. Het thema is ‘Tolkien in de 21e eeuw’. De locatie is kasteel De Berckt bij Baarlo, in de mooie omgeving van Noord-Limburg. Onze Lustrumfeesten van 2006 en 2011 waren daar ook.
Eregast en programma
Eregast tijdens het Lustrumfeest 2026 is Marcel Bülles. Hij is freelance journalist en vertaler, met name van science fiction- en fantasyliteratuur. Marcel is de oprichter van het Duitse Tolkiengenootschap en internationaal bekend van zijn website The Tolkienist. Hij heeft samengewerkt met professor Michael D.C. Drout aan onderzoek naar J.R.R. Tolkien, bijgedragen aan het academische jaarboek Tolkien Studies en enkele artikelen geschreven voor de J.R.R. Tolkien Encyclopedia. Daarnaast heeft hij een aantal artikelen geschreven in Amon Hen, Hither Shore en Mallorn. Als bekende spreker op diverse Tolkienevenementen heeft hij lezingen gegeven in de VS, Canada, Zwitserland, het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Italië.
Verder kunnen deelnemers interessante lezingen van andere sprekers bijwonen, deelnemen aan binnen- en buitenactiviteiten, genieten van lekker eten en van een feestelijk banket.

Lustrum Feast 2026
Next year it will be 45 years since Tolkien Society Unquendor was founded, which we hope to celebrate at our ninth so-called Lustrum Feast, an event which we organize every five years. This festive gathering will take place from 19-21 June 2026. The theme is ‘Tolkien in the 21st Century’. The venue will be Castle De Berckt near Baarloo, situated in a beautiful area in the province of Limburg, The Netherlands.
Guest of honour and programme
Guest of honour at the 2026 Lustrum Feast will be Marcel Bülles. He is a freelance journalist and translator, primarily of science fiction and fantasy literature. Marcel is the founder of the German Tolkien Society and internationally known for his website The Tolkienist. He has collaborated with Professor Michael D.C. Drout in research on J.R.R. Tolkien, contributed to the academic yearbook Tolkien Studies, and written several articles for the J.R.R. Tolkien Encyclopedia. He also wrote several articles for Amon Hen, Hither Shore and Mallorn. A well-known speaker at various Tolkien events, he has given talks in the US, Canada, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Italy.
Furthermore participants can attend interesting talks by other speakers, participate in indoor and outdoor activities, enjoy tasty food and a festive banquet. Not to mention the drinks.
