Travelling by car

From the direction of Nijmegen:

Follow highway A73 in the direction of Venlo/Maastricht. Take the exit at Venlo-Zuid. Follow the N273 in the direction of Baarlo. Turn left at Castle the Berckt (before the village proper).

From the direction of Eindhoven:

Follow highway A67 in the direction of Venlo. Take the exit at intersection Zaarderheiken. Follow highway A73 in the direction of Maastricht. Take the exit at Venlo-Zuid. Follow the N273 in the direction of Baarlo. Turn left at Castle the Berckt (before the village proper).

From the direction of Maastricht:

Follow highway A2 in the direction of Eindhoven/Amsterdam. Take the exit at intersection Het Vondered. Follow highway A73 in the direction of Roermond/Venlo. Take exit 14-Maasbree to the N273 in the direction of Baarlo. Turn right at the Napoleonsbaan/N273. Follow the N273 in the direction of Baarlo. Turn left at Castle the Berckt (before the village proper).

From the direction of Duisburg:

Follow highway A40 in the direction of Venlo. Cross the Dutch border and continue to highway A67. Take the exit at intersection Zaarderheiken. Follow highway A73 in the direction of Venlo/Maastricht. Take the exit at Venlo-Zuid. Follow the N273 in the direction of Baarlo. Turn left at Castle the Berckt (before the village proper).

Travelling by public transport

Regular Intercity services operate to the railway station of Venlo. Take from there bus number 77 and get off at bus stop De Berckt (travel time about 20 min.). Cross the road and walk to Castle de Berckt (200 meters). You can also use the shuttle service to Castle de Berckt, organized by the Lustrum committee.

There are several airports you can fly to:

• Schiphol (all international flights), about 2:30 hrs by Intercity to Venlo;

• Zaventem (all international flights), about 2:30 hrs by Intercity from railway station Brussel-Zuid to Venlo;

• Düsseldorf (all international flights), about 2:30 hrs by ICE to Venlo;

• Weeze (flights to and from most European countries), about 45 min.by coach to Venlo;

• Eindhoven (flights to and from most European countries), about 45 min. travel by Intercity from railway station Eindhoven to Venlo.
